Best Air-Fried Tofu
INGREDIENTS
1 package (~16 oz) high protein tofu, drained and patted dry - I love Wildwood Foods. If you are using extra-firm, I recommend pressing the tofu for 1-2 hours.
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon fine grain sea salt
Black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon coconut aminos
Squeeze of sriracha
1.5 tablespoons olive or avocado oil
1 heaping tablespoon arrowroot powder
METHOD
Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees F (I used the Insant pot official air fryer) or oven to 425 degrees F (if your oven has a convection setting, put it on 400 degrees F plus convection).
Cut tofu into cubes and place in a mixing bowl.
Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, pepper, coconut aminos, sriracha, and oil to the tofu. Gently toss with your hands. Then, sprinkle over the arrowroot and toss again.
Arrange the tofu on a baking sheet and air-fry for 10-20 minutes (depending on the strength of your air-fryer) or until golden brown and crispy (if using an oven, it will take ~30-45 min). Enjoy!
