Blueberry and Basil Smoothie
serves 1
INGREDIENTS
1/4 - 1/2 ripe avocado, peeled
1/4 cup frozen strawberries, cherries, or banana
1/2 cup frozen blueberries
1 -2 big handfuls of spinach
1 tablespoon hemp seeds (optional)
1 tablespoon nut/seed butter (optional)
basil (as much as you like, I usually start with 1/4 cup, lightly packed)
splash of vanilla extract (optional)
2-3 spoonfuls of plain yogurt (optional)
1/2 cup plant-based milk (I typically use almond milk)
1/2 cup coconut water
toppings: ground flax seed, cacao nib, coconut flakes
METHOD
Place all ingredients into a high-speed blender or food processor
Process until smooth. If too thick, add more liquid
Taste and adjust accordingly
