Chocolate-Covered Date Hearts
INGREDIENTS
medjool dates, pulled apart enough to form a heart shape and pit removed
melted chocolate
nuts for stuffing (i used almond, pistachios, and hazelnut)
toppings: chopped pistachio, hazelnut, walnut, crushed freeze dried raspberries and strawberries, rose petals, cacao nibs, flakey sea salt
METHOD
melt chocolate using a double boiler or microwave. if chocolate is too thick, add a bit of coconut oil.
line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
stuff the core of the dates with 1-2 nuts.
dip dates in chocolate and use two forks to remove excess chocolate. place on baking sheet.
garnish with toppings of your choice.
refrigerate until completely hardened. enjoy:)
