Grass-Fed Beef Burgers with Carrot + Sweet Potato Fries

Makes ~3 small burgers

INGREDIENTS

  • Avocado oil

  • ~1/4 pound grass-fed ground beef

  • Fine grain sea salt

  • Black pepper

  • Carrots, peeled and cut into fries

  • Sweet potato (I used japanese sweet potato), cut into fries

  • Spices such as smoked paprika, garlic powder, and/or onion powder

  • Finely chopped parsley (optional)

  • Serve with veggies, lettuce, mustard, and/or ketchup

METHOD

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Place the sliced carrots and sweet potatoes on the baking sheet and drizzle with avocado oil. Season with salt, pepper, and spices. Toss well and spread in an even layer. Bake until tender and golden brown.

  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef with salt and pepper. You could also add finely chopped onion if you like. Form into 3 small bowl.

  3. Heat up a large pan and add a drizzle of avocado oil. Add the balls to the pan and use your hand to press them into thin patties. Cook until golden brown on the underside. Then, flip and cook for another minute.

  4. Serve with the fries and sides/condiments of your choice. Enjoy!
