Lemony + Garlicky Shrimp

INGREDIENTS

  • Olive oil

  • Finely chopped garlic

  • Peeled and deveined shrimp, rinsed and dried with a paper towel

  • Fine grain sea salt

  • Black pepper

  • Red chili flakes

  • Butter (optional)

  • Lemon zest and juice

  • Finely chopped herbs such as parsley and/or dill

METHOD

  1. Heat up a pan and add enough olive oil to coat the bottom. Add the chopped garlic and saute on medium low for 2 minutes or until fragrant. We don’t want to the garlic to become golden since it will become bitter). Stir in chili flakes to taste.

  2. Add the shrimp the pan and season with salt and pepper. Once the tails begin to curl and the underside of the shrimp turn pink, flip. Add some butter and toss well. Finish with lemon zest, lemon juice, and herbs.
